Hi, Folks

I´m trying to do the upgrade for my DCS System from 4.10 to 4.20.

Th first step:I did the TIU upgrade and it was fine. I checked the TIU code and it is on 04.20.

By the way, I´m using the DCS Loader last Version. (2.3)

So, after that, I followed for the second step: upgrade the Remote and it was not possible for the DCS loader found the TIU. Everything it is ok: the phone cord is a 4 conductor; the remote was turned off before to start the update, anyway all the instruction according to DCS O Gauge Companion 2nd Edition.

I´m using a Belkin USB Serial Adapter model F5U109 with a driver for MS Vista (I installed the correct drive as well).

I tried to solve the problem throught the OGR Forum and found out that in February 1st, CAPPilot had the same problem and he got to install the upgrade only when he used  TIU Version L.

My TIU is a REV I3.

My question is: Does someone could give information about what I have to do?

Thanks

Hi, Barry.

Only to send a feedback for you:

I followed all your instructions above, change the 4-conductor cable and so on, but it was not possible to do the upgrade for the Remote.

So, I decided to buy a new adapter (USB to DB - GigaWare model 26-949), installed it in my PC - OS - MS Vista and now everything is ok.

Thanks again for your support.

Perhaps will be good to inform MTH about this issue.

Why? It's not their problem.

MTH can't, and shouldn't attempt to, validate all possible cables for use with the Loader Program. If the cable was, indeed, your problem, you fixed it without any modification to MTH's hardware or software.

I just thought that it was odd that the cable could be used to update the TIU but not the remote. That was a new one for me.
