I am trying to set a few "max speeds" for engines using the DCS app and a Samsung Tab A.  If I am doing it correctly, I am attempting to slide the "sliding dot" back and forth to adjust the speed.  It jumps from one end of the bar to the other somewhat easily...but using my finger to move that dot back and forth on the scale to achieve 35mph has proven very difficult.

What am I missing...there must be an easy way to make this adjustment.  I had hoped to move that point on the engine speedometer screen to set the max speed per engine.  I am always foiled by the simplest things.

Why doesn't the "E Stop" button appear on the screen?

Thanks for any kind response.

E stop button

Go to settings- 3 vertical dots, lower right beside "Accessories"

Purple star Advanced Features

System settings

Hide Estop button toggle

On the speed slider- that's all your phone and it's digitizer screen touch hardware function of the phone.

Fundamental problem with app based train controls- is you the user bringing the right fully functioning 3rd party phone or table to the equation. Add into that broken or cracked screens, badly repaired screens, cases or screen protectors, screen expansion settings in the phone or tablet- all can interfere with touch function and slider precision.

I do not have any issue setting the max speed on the slider on my iPhone.  It's very precise.

However, I do not use a screen protector film like some do.  Not sure if you have one on your phone.

It is definitely not the app.

By default, the e-Button is turned off.

When you go under Advanced setting to turn it on it will prompt you to create a password.  That way only people who know it can turn it on/off.
