I do not have the new WIFI yet or Barry's book, but had a few questions. Can the latest version be downloaded thru the app, as well as updating or changing ps2 and ps3 sounds??

The latest version of the WiFi app, in the Apple version, can update via within the App. Not sure about the Android version.
As far as changing sounds in a PS2 and PS3 engine that is still done via the DCS Loader Program as always.
JOE, if I may clarify your question. Are you asking if your "smart device"(which would have to have the consumer loader program on it), that would be used to run your trains, will be capable of doing the updating of your TIU, remote, WiFi unit, and also load engine sound files, wirelessly, instead of using a PC hardwired to the TIU like we presently do? If so, the answer would be no. You still need the PC. Maybe someday it will be possible and sure would simplify things.

Yes Dave, exactly, I should have phrased my questions differently. It could be easier if we could do these tasks thru the wifi.
