My layout has two TIU which run in supermode.  My trains on the main lines and yards run one 1 TIU, and my branch lines run on the 2nd one.  The tracks on the 2nd TIU do not connect to the tracks on the 1st TIU.   I use supermode to make it easy to run engines on tracks belonging to either TIU.

I installed the DCS WIFI module on my main TIU and it is running without any issue.  It is connected to my home network along with the LIONEL LCS.  If I want to get a 2nd WIU for the 2nd TIU, will I be able to use it?  Do I need to wait until the full version of the DCS APP software?   Has anyone tried using the current version of DCS APP with multiple TIUs?

Hi Chris,

Yes, you can connect multiple TIU's.  You need one WIU per TIU.  If you get a second WIU you can connect it to your home network just like your first one.  Any version of the app will work with multiple TIUs.  Each WIU broadcasts its presence on the network.   When the app is opened on each device it looks for the WIU broadcast data on the network.  The app will connect to any and all WIUs from which the broadcast is received.

Tonight, I set up my 2nd WIU.  My biggest issue was with the USB to serial connection.  One of my converters did not work well, so I picked up a new one.   Once that was done, I set up the 2nd WIU to my home network.  It worked easily.    I was able run the app and access engines running from WIU 1 or WIU2.  When I moved an engine to the WIU2 tracks, I just had to get it to read.  It did this quickly and I was able to power up.   I tested running trains on all my tracks and ran the LCS app on the same phone.   I was able to run everything together.  The MTH APP is pretty neat, and I like the design of the APP.   I am looking forward to using this when I host my local train club next week.

Does anyone know when the next release of software will come out for accessories, Lash-ups and switches?
