Do MTH ps2 and ps3 locos have a demo mode similar to what QSI used to have?

I am unable to speak much about PS2 since I do not own any of those MTH Trains. As far as I know PS3 engines do not have a demo mode, the closest I think you could get is to create a recording using either the app(though I have not tried to see if that works) or the DCS remote.
I'm not familiar with the "demo mode" of QSI.
Try using the "PFA" for a complete auto stop and play of sounds for that.

Diesel DCC Features
- F0 Head/Tail light
- F1 Bell
- F2 Horn
- F3 Start-up/Shut-down
- F4 PFA
- F5 Lights (except head/tail)
There's no "demo mode" in PS2 or PS3 engines.
As noted above, the closest you'll get (and it's pretty darn close) is the following:
- Using Record/Playback.
- Using Freight Yard or Passenger Station sounds in all PS2/PS3 engines except those engines designated as subways or trollies.
- Using the Transit Station capability of subways and trollies to program subway or trolly routes.
This and a whole lot more about DCS is all in MTH’s “The DCS Companion 3rd Edition!" This book is available from many fine OGR advertisers and forum sponsors, or as an eBook or a printed book at MTH's web store! |

Thank you! The QSI demo mode as I recall was that the locomotive motor wouldn't operate but you could raise and lower the voltage to make the chuff sounds slow or faster and also blow the whistle and ring the bell. It was a nice feature if you had your locomotive displayed on a track on a shelf somewhere, which is where I'm at now. i no longer have a layout due to moving and only kept my favorite ps3 locomotive to display on a shelf.
