My NYC set is finished now time to move onto the PRR set. I have gotten to the point of finishing up the sleeper car. This car had the most cutting for the panels. Just need to get a few more paintings for the hallway and it should be done until people arrive.

This set will also be upgraded to led lighting and lit candles in the dining car.

Here is where I am at so far.

Here is an update:

Led lighting finished in all but dinning car. Found 1:48 scale plates and silverware, received a few waiting for the rest to be shipped. Also still need to install the lit candles on the tables. Here are the pictures of what I have so far.

This time I also tried to include a video of the train hope it works.

Thank you all for your fine comments. To answer some of the questions I will supply some more details.

The items listed:

Wood panels

Carpet

Dresser fronts

Paintings on walls

Are all printed on 20# 95% white paper. Short items on 8 ½ X 11 long carpet runners on 8 ½ X 14.

All resizing of images was done in Microsoft Word. I have found that this is the best program for resizing images. There is far less distortion of the image than in any of the other image programs I have.

All the images were printed on an old HP 952C inkjet printer set to best quality.

The paper is then attached to the items using Avery permanent Glue Stic once this dries it does not come off.

I have attached the images I used in case some may want to use them.

Thanks again:

Nelson

Can you provide your source of dinnerware, silverware and candles?

Bob,

Here is the link to how I do candles from when I did my NYC set.

Link to NYC cars

This time I am going to try and make small lamps for the large tables and candles for the smaller ones. If it works pictures will follow. If it does not you will not hear of it again.

I will post source of plates when I get them to see if they are useable.

New update on the dinning car

Received the dinnerware sets here is the link to where I found them… Link Here:

Contact the seller for multiple purchase discount.

I held them down by placing them on Masking tape sticky side up so I could airbrush them without them blowing away.

I then took and removed the soup bowl from the rest of the group with an X-acto knife. I then turned bowl over and glued them to the center of the dinner plates.

Sorry my camera does not do well on close-ups this is the best I could do.
