Deutsche Bahn... In the US!?

This is something I have been meaning to post for some time. In the past few years I have seen a total of two trucks (although for all I know they could have been the same one) with the same familiar "DB [Schenker]" logo on the side as that commonly found on German locomotives. As much as I liked seeing this, my primary question is this: what are they doing over here?
