Does anyone have any video or pics of how this is done. Is ot sand cast, silicone, or other. Just wondering how this is done especially on this highly detailed engines.

Die Casting is just that... a metal die is machined, then the molten metal is poured into it (either by gravity or under pressure) to make a casting. Here is an older video that is a good overview of the process:

Die-cast locomotive parts are produced with hardened tooling steel molds injected with high heat and pressure. They're a far cry from sand cast and silicone molds.
TM's "Making of the Lionel Scale Hudson" is probably the closest thing to a video that covers it.
