This forum has amazingly talented individuals and is indeed a wealth of information.  Over the past couple of days I took advantage of the information regarding the Crest rollers and the very detailed instructions provided by John S.  Since I had the day to myself and received the Crest Rollers yesterday, I decided to gather the information provided by John S ( thankyou) in that other thread and try my hand at duplicating his results as others on the forum said they would try also.

Here are my results which I never would have figured out myself without John's "How To."

Pete, "proofs in the puddin". You are talented as well. You did an amazing job on your roller test stand.

I ordered the roller set for $36.00, and trying to find something that I can make some side pans from, to be able to solvent wash the drivers, and valve gear.

I'll have to make mine a shade longer, as I wanting/looking for a"Pennsy 6-4-4-6", and was told that they are longer than a "Big Boy, but what ever. You did a very good job in a short time. Thanks for sharing your talents with us. I've said many,  times working in construction, "Some Got it, rest are Wanna Bee's".Brandy

I'm still waiting on my rollers, they must have been overloaded with orders!

Thanks, Bob.  The vendor is located right near my old office in Newark.  Never knew he was there and I had been working there for 25 years!    Mine came pretty quick but As you know I live in Jersey. Probably better to have the rollers mailed.....the vendor isn' t exactly located in the safest part of NJ!

Pete, glad to know you made it out of there safe and sound (how's retirement anyway?)

I'm getting spoiled by all this ready-made stuff   I've got 3D printed vents (got 'em yesterday), test stand rollers, and decals Made-To-Order (I'm calling it MTO and filing a patent!), engines and cabooses I don't have to modify (as much) to make them look like what my favorite RRs owned (whoda thunk my Fav RRs would be using PRR hand-me-downs?)
