Looking for a scale bunk car and tool car. Lionel makes them, but everything on my layout is scale and these won't do.
Road name is not important as I can change them to suite my needs.
Thanks,
Bill

Bob Peare's "Traincraft" kits include a variety of these. but...they are kits. Niether of the "Big 2" have made anything other than cranes that appeal to me for a work train.
I'd suggest selecting a scale box car, break out your tools, and let your imagination,
or a photo, run away.
I see from your profile that you are in NJ. Al Small on Rudderow road in Merchantville custom builds these cars in wood at very reasonable prices considering the quality. They are full scale patterned after PRR prototypes. Since they are custom built he could leave them unpainted or paint to your specs.
Just saw some pictures of Al Small's cars. They are beautiful, and just what I'm looking for. Anyone know how to get in touch with Al?
I suggest you contact Forum sponsor Harry Hieke for Al's contact info. Tell him what you are looking for, and I am certain Harry will help as he and Al are good friends. I don't want to post Al's telephone number w/o his permission, but Harry can help you one on one. I don't have your e-mail address, otherwise I would e-mail you directly.
I am sure Al will be happy to hear from you. His work is worth every penny and a lot more. Many of us keep telling him he works too cheaply, but he enjoys making these cars.
NOPE, no true O work cars by OEM's. Have to settle for MTH RK's.

Are you sure?
Better check the O Scale Freight Car Guide to MOW Equipment and find out.

I would have bought some of the PRR ones had they come in gray.
I believe K-Line made some of these and they were scale, although not sure if they were of a particular prototype. Jim R.
Another vote for Al Small. I have several of his custom cars. Excellent stuff!!
Something like one of these?
Not one of Al's, but a scratchbuild that I did a bit of work on to put back on the track.
