It would be really nicer to use a Ross doublecrossover with my FasTrack, I wonder what would be the best way to hook up. A FasTrack version of one would be great, but I don't expect that to happen soon.

Chuck-
It's definitely doable. You will need 6-12040 Fastrack transition pieces to convert from the Fastrack connector to the standard tubular track pin. I'm not sure if the standard tubular pins can be removed from the transition piece; if so you would need to substitute the standard tubular track pins with the Gargraves #801 O gauge mating pins. If the pins in the transition piece cannot be removed, you can try experimenting by grinding the pins down or you can insert a short length of tubular track to make the second conversion to the Gargraves pins.
In either case you will also need to support the double crossover with wood, masonite or a similar product, as Fastrack is much higher than the Ross track.

Some interesting ideas here: Fastrack Crossover Thread - Forum member Ace had a unique idea here as did the others. Not sure they are suitable for what you want, but something to look at anyway?
Thanks for the info and link. Interesting. I am using GRJ's idea now, but the double crossover if available and fit in, is smoother.
I used GRJ's idea on that thread,(thanx GRJ)however,I spaced the O-72 turnouts even further apart. My big steam engines can handle them at a pretty good speed and in reverse.Works perfect.Nick

Thanks. Interesting crossovers.
Chuck,
I agree with you, I wish Lionel would just build a double FT cross over set up we could use right out of the box. I would definitely purchase one or two sets of them.

You all are extremely creative with these things. Even though I don't use Fastrack, I saved the pictures, you never know... Thank you for posting them.
