I have a number of Lionel and Atlas bridges on my modular layout that don't provide enough clearance for double stack container cars. I tested changing the bridge track from Fastrak to Gargraves but still not quite there so I'm considering different ways to modify the bridges. One thought is removing the base and adding 1/2 plastruct H-beams underneath and cross piece support to provide the additional clearance. I may consider investing in a 3d printer to create more detailed parts (great excuse). I like my existing bridges so I'm curious as to how others might worked around the clearance issue.
