Hi All,

I am trying to design a Double Y entrance to my main passenger station from a Double Main line.  The station is to be a "through" station with 2 or 3 tracks going in each direction. My challenge is trying to get as compact as possible design to get the trains in and out, with the ability to go either direction on to the main line.  I attached what I have so far and am hoping someone can help me tighten this up and shrink the footprint. In the diagram you will the station entance/exit at the top, perpendicular to the mainline.  I am hoping to install a mirror Double Y crossover on the other end of the station where the main line loops around.  I used all Ross switches and track in this design but, can use anything, I am just not great getting the different manufacturer items to work together in the software. How can I shrink the footprint of this interchange using minimum O-42?

Can you help? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Chris

This double "Y" are my yard leads. These 2 turnouts are Atlas 072 with a 22 degree crossing. Spacing on mainline is 4.5".

These 2 sets of crossover's determine where each train will depart on the mainline. They are Atlas # 7.5 turnouts with a 4.5" spacing.

This is a double slip switch that interchanges with the mainline with the "Y" and a siding track shown in the top photo. Basically, I can access either mainline through the yard leads and the double slip switch.

Hope this can assist you.
