Hello all.Due to having a lot of free time lately I started rebuilding some E units.I read some posts on here and watched a couple of you tube videos.I haven’t seen what I do to make it easier for me to put it together.After cleaning it I put the four finger in first then install the plunger.Next I take a small screw a number 2-56 thread about an inch and half long and with the plunger all the way up install the screw in the bottom portion of the slot the plunger rides in.I find that this way I can control the distance the sides are apart.Now I can slide the drum in and with a small screwdriver push the drum in.Now tighten the screw slightly to hold the drum while I install the two finger contacts.I hope this helps I find that it helps me a lot.
