@GG1 4877 - Hey Johnathan I also have an "old" No 8 as well also in red.  Great engine for sure.  We used to run it around our tree but in later years , space precluded std gauge so its just been on the shelf for the last few years.  Still it belonged to my brother and he gifted it to me, so it remains "special".

Another locomotive in my standard gauge stable is this #10.  I also have one in better condition as part of the "Peacock" set in the original box.  That train will likely get the call to run around the tree this year when the tree goes up this weekend.

My recently acquired NYC S2. Its had limited run time because the low truck frame is snagging on the switch return springs. Steve Ross was good intro to send replacements but the track gang is dragging their feet.

1st generation Lionel NYC S2 Electric at rest awaiting track orders and then taking a curve hauling a consist of NYC Pacemaker Boxcars.

I thought I would post some more photos of my MTH boxcab before it turns to dust.

@CAPPilot Ron that is a hard post to like.  I'm so sorry your P5 is falling apart like that.

@CAPPilot Ron I have never seen a case of metal fatigue as bad as you showed.  That is really disappointing that a quality provider like MTH would have marketed such a piece.  Sorry for your trouble.

I bought this Williams E60 at an antique for a very good price;. When I took it to a friend's house to run on his layout, we put it on the track and absolutely nothing happened when power was applied. Removing the shell, we discovered ALL of the wires were disconnected:

Here are two GG1s; a Lionel solid stripe with TMCC and a MTH 5 stripe with Proto 2, running on Main 1 and Main 2 through town.

Here is an early Lionel steeple cab, the #152 from 1917 -1927 with the dark green being the earliest version.

And here is a classic Bergen County Trolley made by Lionel.  I lived in Bergen County, N.J. and rode on trolleys while they had them with my Aunt who used to take me shopping with her.  This was middle 1940's and they were gone all too soon.
