Eliot Welz I believe is still painting but on a much slower pace than say 5-10 years ago. He did a Black Santa Fe F3 for me lat Spring. Still does masterful work. He has done 8 F 3's for me in addition to a passenger car set. All postwar repaints. All beautiful. He dosen't go to York any more and I know his health is slipping. Good Luck.

I think he has stopped painting.
He did my GG1 in Brunswick Green, five gold stripes, red outlining on cab windows, #4935, back in 1981. Absolutely stunning work. Even the lower single gold stripe along with "Water" and "Fuel", all prototypically sized !
We're all getting a bit older and slower. I had a three car set of his Amfleet coaches. Sorry I ever decided to sell them.
I think Mr. Welz has retired. He sold his silk screens and painted sample shells on ebay a couple of years ago.
