I have a Lionel Southern Crescent set 8566, 8567 & 8661. I love the set, but the lead unit only has one motor. I would like to have a second motor installed and/or some electronic upgrades. Does anyone know someone I can get in contact with to perform these services? Thanks. Tyler.

I think you have many good options, all Forum members. How about Alex Mallaie, Marty Fitzhenry, or Boxcar Bill for starters.
I have the same set, but in Amtrak. I just went on eBay and got a second powered unit, and swapped out the shell to make it Amtrak. I think got an ERR upgrade for AC Motors, put it in the B unit, and ran plugs to the A units to tie in the motors and lights.
The real difficulty used to be finding the wheels/gears for the front motor. The two motor versions also have pickups that are different from the single motored versions, so you need a different wheel/gear set for your existing motor also.
The best/cheapest way to do this is to add a second single motored version, as Allan stated, or buy a twin motored F-3 and swap the shells.
