I have a (20-3108-1) C&O 4 Truck Shay (PS2). The battery is fully charged. The unit works in conventional mode on non-DCS track the cab lights up but not the headlights in either direction. On DCS track it just sits there and the controller says engine not on track. I tried reset and it gave the same message. Is there anything to do to fix the problem at home or I need to send the engine or the boards in for testing.

Place the engine on a track connected to TIU #1, Fixed #1 OUT. Put power to the trqack and enter the following on the DCS Remote:
Menu/System/Engine Setup/Recover Engine
If the remote displays "Engine Recovered, try to add it again.
Barry,
The engine was not recovered. What's your next recommendation.
Has the engine ever been added to the remote? If so delete and try adding again.
Gregg
You hit nail on the head. The engine was originally added before my problem. It was still on the remote when I tried recovery and it didn't work. When I deleted it, recovery worked and everything appears to be working correctly. Thanks both you and Barry for helping me.
