Engines won’t restart after power is shut off

I have two RailKing engines that need to be deleted and re-added each time the power is turned off. All other features are ok. This only happens with my steam engines and not with any of my other MTH diesels. Any suggestions?

Test the battery inside by powering and starting them up, and then kill the power. If the sounds cut right out, the batteries are dead. That would give you the problem you're seeing.
