Eratic Light Behavior on an MTH Engine

I have an AC4400cw from MTH that has a problem with lights.  It will start out from a feature reset with everything on, but when I turn off the smoke unit all the lights go out.

If you're using DCS 4.30, it's a bug.

You can get the lights back by doing a Feature Reset, however, that will also put the smoke back on.

Try turning off the smoke pot/switch on the engine and restarting. If smoke still comes on, that's the other smoke bug in 4.30.

The bug doesn't happen every time so you can just try turning it off and, if lights go off, do a feature rest and try again.

Are these fixed in the upcoming 4.3x that's in beta?

Interesting. I've been living with this. What is interesting to me is that certain engines seem to be more sensitive. I'm talking mainly steam engines. I thought it might be a signal strength issue.

The "smoke on by default" is already fixed in the current beta.

Barry, do you have an explanation why this happens on certain engines and not all the time? I would think a bug would be more consistent,not?

No, not necessarily. That's what makes some bugs more difficult to correct than others.
