ERR RailSounds Board to replace Modular Lionel RailSounds boards | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

Can I use an ERR RailSounds Board to replace both the Lionel Railsounds Board and the RailSounds Power Board? The ERR doesn't have instructions for doing so. There are two connecting wires to control activation of the ERR Sound Board. One is Data IN. What does the other wire connect to on a Lionel DCRU for Odyssey?
