I appreciate all the feedback on my K4 inquiry. I'd like to ask the same question of another PRR Locomotive - Lionel 6-81245. What's the track record on these? Any pitfalls to be aware of? Thanks in advance.

Tim, I don’t know about the Legacy versions but I have a TMCC M1a that’s been running great for years. Smoke units upgraded, 4 cuffs per rev all via Alex M.

The Legacy M1a is one of my top 3 favorites in my collection. The sounds on the Legacy version are so awesome. I have had it since it was released and never had a single issue. That one is a keeper. Definitely grab one if you find it. Now, I am speaking of the 6-81245, not later releases.

My Legacy M1a #6755 is from the Coal Hauler set 6-81247. Runs great, fantastic Legacy sound.
