how do you separate the stator from the gear housing? I need to replace one of the motor screws on an f3 motor out of a 2353.

Which screws are you looking to replace? The screws that hold the motor onto the frame, or the screw studs that hold the brushplate in place?
If you are looking to remove the field winding from the motor housing, unscrew the 2 slotted nuts from the brushplate, unsolder the field wire from the tab on the motor, remove the brushplate, and pull the motor field out.

Thanks Larry,
This motor has never been pulled apart and its 68 yrs old. The two long motor screws holding the brush plate and field winding together
need replacing because one screw end is stripped. I thought I might have to drill the screws out.
The studs are threaded into the motor housing.
Take the motor to a machine shop. They may be able to get the stud out and insert a new stud, or alternatively, the bad end may be able to be fixed with the appropriate sized threading die.
