I am running NJ Transit F40PH with PS3.  When the speed is over 35 SMPH, I cannot control the engine RPMs.  Instead, the RPM shoot to the highest level and stays there.

This high level of RPMs is too piercing a sound for me.  I want to back off the RPMs to level 1 or 2, even when going over 35 SMPH.

Does anyone know how I can do this.

thanks

Thanks Joe,

The engine has all 8 rev notches that can be turned up or down using the Rev Up/Down app buttons, only when idle.

Uderway, the Rev Up/Down app buttons sometimes work at low speed, but they never work over 35 SMPH.

The engine runs very smoothly between 35 and 50 SMPH.

Can you adjust your engine revs using the app Rev Up/Down buttons, while traveling over 35 SMPH?

I don't have a DCS Remote, but I am wondering if the revs can be changed using the physical buttons on the remote?

Thanks

Yes, the Rev up/down buttons in the app adjust the revs when the speed is under 35 SMPH.  Over 35, the buttons have no effect.

Is this behavior the same with a DCS Remote?  I only use the WIFI app.

So if this is true that the app can't lower the revs, than you have to turn down the volume or swap out the sound file.

The only other fix I could think of is to tape off the speaker below so that the high pitch frequencies aren't as loud. It would be easier to just turn down the volume.
