My exact thoughts too!
"Hey, the guy 2 blocks over is giving out O Gauge trains!" 
Of course, unless they have a relative who is into trains, most kids of trick or treating age will have no idea what they are, aside from (hopefully!) recognizing it as an old time train.

Our neighborhood did Halloween tonite. The trains were a big hit for kids of all ages. The only time it derailed is when I tripped over it. I'm blaming that on my neighbors supplying me with scotch.
