Does anyone know what the final K-Line Collector's Club locomotives were that Lionel manufactured? I thought it was only the 2 CSX models (w/TMCC and without), but I'm reading and hearing that there were actually 6 models. 2 CSX, 2 Santa Fe, and 2 Alaska.
If this is true, were they all part of the same type of deal where Lionel manufactured all of them?
And if you know this info, would anyone know also what those sku numbers were for all and maybe how much they might be worth if they're all in good condition?
Thanks.

Last that I knew of were the SD70s/SD75s - I have the Santa Fe version. You can go to Alaska Railroad, CSX, and Santa Fe Road Names to see them and their SKU numbers (it says Collectors Club on the description). Link
I don't know where they were made, but the details on them are really nice.
I think I was looking for the Lionel part#'s since that's how they were manufactured and I believe sold under as well. So there were more than just the one road name then for the collector's club? I didn't realize that a CC would offer so many different options (3 different road names) on a single offering.
From the auction site and the web, here are the Engine Numbers I could find which should be all of them:
6-11559 Engine # 204 with TMCC
6-11560 Engine # 204 Conventional
6-11561 Engine #204 Conventional with Cruise
It looks like the CSX were:
6-11556 Engine #722 with TMCC
6-11557 Engine #722 Conventional
6-11558 Engine #722 Conventional with Cruise
It looks like Alaska were:
6-11553 Engine #4002 with TMCC
6-11554 Engine #4002 Conventional
6-11555 Engine $4002 Conventional with Cruise
wow that's awesome!! Thanks Allan. Appreciate the research and info.
No problem - always happy to help!
Lionel did not actually sell them they filled collector club members orders. I got two of the 204 SF and still have them in the boxes. They are beautiful engines which I will never run since I returned to S Gauge.

To answer the other part of your question. Lionel did not make them. K-line was a stand alone company. Lionel and K-line had, let's say a dispute..... long story short, Lionel took possession of K-line inventory and honored the purchases but put them in Lionel boxes.
Correct - I remember talking to a K-Line person after they announced they were closing asking about the engines and they didn't know what was going to happen. Then I got an email from Lionel saying as pretty much a last act for K-Line is that Lionel would still honor the engines which I appreciated. I was surprised they had Lionel boxes and not K-Line, but I got my engine and was happy about it.

What are the Min curves on these? are they different from the SD70 to the SD75?
LIONEL did not honor anything. It was part of the court agreement. LIONEL was to ship the K-LINE prepaid items to customers. Best i recall it was:
SD70 & SD75
The CONRAIL company safety sets
Sawmill
Doug
"LIONEL did not honor anything. It was part of the court agreement."
Question.
Did Lionel follow the court agreement to which the company agreed?
Well, then, Lionel did honor everything they agreed to.
I remember the email from Lionel stating they would honor the purchase of the engines from K-Line indicating they were under no obligation to do so. The fact that K-Line employees had no idea what would happen when they announced they were closing makes me think that they did not know what Lionel would do...
"It was part of the court agreement."
Where did you get this information? I believe it is incorrect.
Just picked up one of these. Bit of a mess with no sounds.
No manual either. There are a series of switches under a hatch on top but....NO program/run switch.
Can't see one on the underbelly either.
I cannot find anything on line.
Can someone advise me on how to program this piece.
Thank You
Dave

Mine are stored, so I don't have them to look at. However, these came in both TMCC and conventional models. Yours may be conventional.
Thanks Ron...I should have listed the product number....
6-11559 It is TMCC command with smoke and cruise.
Under the hatch on top are switches for sound, smoke, cruise and a reverse lock.......cannot find the program/run switch.
Dave
On the TMCC models, the reverse lock is the program/run switch. Check your email, sent pdfs of the manual.
Here are some of the K-Line advertisements and articles about these engines. I recall hearing that Lionel did more than just put them in orange boxes, but actually upgraded them a bit - do not recall the details, however.

Many Thanks Ross for sending the manual pages to me......most helpful !
Mystery solved on the program/run switch.....on to do a code reset and try to locate the issue responsible for no sounds.
David ...Thanks for the links and info. I was not familiar with this model. I do miss K Line.
Dave
Were these numbered sometimes with a 2-XXXX, for example:

Hokie,
Yes, it looks like it is a 2-xxxxx. I looked online and all the SF ones I saw were all that format. They probably did that since this was a K-line product that Lionel honored since many purchased these items after K-Line went out of business and Lionel taking much of the tooling.
Cap and others are spot on.
Great looking engines, one of my favorites aesthetically but I'm not sure I can tell you why. I was very pleased that Lionel delivered these, I had basically written off at the time that I would ever see this engine with all the changes in the industry.

I need this same manual, any chance you still have it? jrmcquillan65@gmail.com
Thanks, in advance
@Ross, I hate to do it to you, but please send the manual. I just bought the 2-11559 at York. Thanks in advance.
OBTW, the detail is remarkable.
Would it be possible to post the manual here?
Thank you.
@hokie71 @Railrunnin On the way to your emails.
Thanks Ross, as I was downloading the pages, I had Adobe Acrobat open and put them back together in a reduced file size. This may save you some time in the future.

I have the 11559 SF model. Didn't realize it had cruise control. I had TMCC signal issues with it (flashing headlight). But I beefed up the antenna inside and it works fine now.
Though I don't really have too much modern stuff, I purchased the Santa Fe conventional version because it was too good looking to pass up for the price ($125 iirc). There was always a gap between when you ordered the KCC engines and when they were delivered, but with K-Line's downfall that delay stretched to about two years before Lionel delivered. Ultimately, the board on mine went bad after several years and the cost to replace it was more than I'd paid for it. I waffled around for a bit, but when a forum member offered me $175 for, bad board and all, I sold it. I didn't have the best experience, but as others have said, it was still a great loco for the price.
Anyone upgrade the conventional version to TMCC? I just got the Conrail safety award set with the Conrail SD70mac engine but it is conventional with no sounds or horn. Any suggestions on the best way to upgrade it to command with sounds? Any suggestion on a shop that could do it for me (potentially on the East coast). Thanks,
Randy
Randy,
I had mine upgraded to EOB back in the day and it I have it on my layout currently. It runs great with an AtlasO Dash-8 also with EOB. Upgrading it with an ERR Cruise Commander would be pretty easy except you would lose the flashing lights as ERR doesn't have the capability of running those (you can just have them on or off depending on how you wire them up).
Here is an older video of my upgraded Santa Fe SD75 (my train has grown since I took this video):
