Finally broke down and bought a Legacy setup

I am curious how many people are currently buying the 990 Legacy unit? And what version of the 990 is Lionel now being sold from Lionel? I mean what are the dealers getting? 1.00? 1.03? I wonder how big the demand is for the 990? I wonder if the Lion Chief is the big seller nowadays? I guess we will never know. I suspect the 990 is/was mainly bought by folks that are buying the big $$$$ Lionel stuff. And probably by now most all of those folks already have it. 

The dealers are get version 1.6. At least mine is so I would say they all are unless they have old stock. 

Quick question...did anyone else have some REAL sticky stuff on the sides of the hand controller? I used GooBGone to get rid of it. Was some kind of coating on the grey plastic parts on the sides of the controller.

The non-slip coating on the Legacy remote gets sticky after a few years, I've cleaned it off all of my remotes.  FWIW, the Verizon FiOS TV remotes have the same issue, and get the same treatment.

After I cleaned it off the grey part felt like hard plastic. Wasn't very non-slip. I kinda like it this way.
