Things have progressed along nicely with the work on the 2015 Christmas layout and today I finally got to install a Lionel ZW-L transformer. What a beauty. Makes very easy work to power everything on the new layout. It sure helps to have a wife that likes to give train related presents.

Those of you who already have the ZW-L know what I am talking about.

HELLO N5CJonny:

That is a fantastic Birthday present Brian. I would not have been able to wait as long as you did though in using it. Enjoy!

Blessed is The Man that trusts in the LORD, whose hope is in Him. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters and never fails to bear fruit.

Oh yes!  Simply the best.  I do admit, I miss the big, easy-to-read-across-the-room digital meters on the Z4K I had, but everything else about the ZW-L is just the best I've ever experienced.  Superior protection, good linear control of trains, lots of power it runs Legacy, Lionel conventional, and even PS1-2-3 locos a bit better for me. What's not to like?

And that big lighted LIONEL on the front - gotta love it!

Enjoy yours.  Ought to keep the passenger trains running well for a long time to come.
