A small number of Cab Forwards have arrived at Lionel and will ship next week. Thanks

Any word on anything else arriving at Lionel next week? Thanks
Right on schedule!!! Wonder if any of the early-birds will be Daylight cab-forwards?
These weren't BTO, so it'll be interesting to see how well Lionel estimated the demand for these steamers. By delivering multiple shipments in small numbers though, it will give the impression that these are in short supply vs. the real demand. Only time will tell the real deal.

Good news.
Good news for all who ordered this engine. Thanks Charlie for keeping us informed.
That's great. Cant' wait!

Thank you but can't find the item numbers on your web site to order.
Only 2 of the black versions and pilot version as far as I can see. A few rolling stock items also but not much of that. Thanks
Thanks again Charlie for your update. Even though the initial numbers sent may be small in volume, the others I would think are not too far behind.
The Daylights are one of the most exciting projects Lionel has done in years.
Hey Everyone,
Yes the first of the Lionel Legacy Cab Forwards are shipping from Lionel this week.
We have 3 extra engines coming in that are not accounted for yet.
2x-6-11465 Daylight Scheme #4275
1x-6-11462 Balck & Silver Scheme #4294

Thanks!
Well, for everyone who ordered the Daylight version of the cab forward, looks like the new shipping schedule shows an updated ETA of Nov 2014... just in time for Christmas. I guess the factory painters needed a bit more time with the Daylight paint scheme!!!
Never fails... The end-of-year is shaping up to be very expensive.

LHS told me the fantasy outsold the black one by 2-1. So I guess there is room for both.
I didn't order one, but I can't wait to see the pictures, read the threads and see the youtube videos of this great engine!
I think this will be a winner for Lionel/owners, no matter what paint scheme it is in!
All of you who ordered one I think will be very happy when it arrives.
Enjoy your new locomotive.
"I think that the Daylight scheme looks great. If I had room in my house to redesign my layout to accept O-72 curves, then I would have bought one in a heartbeat."
me too.
I must admit that having been on the crew of THE Daylight (SP4449) for 39 years now, and I would LOVE to have been able to afford that "Daylight painted" cab forward. Why? Lionel chose the the road number of the very first first AC12! I would have had it IMMEDIATELY repainted to the the CORRECT black, with NO road name on the tender, as per Southern Pacific practices in the mid 1950s.
I'll never be able to afford this or the high dollar Big Boy. My daughters college education comes first.
Enjoy these beauties. Fortunately my LionMaster Cab Foward and Challenger will continue to serve me well.
(Really just came back to the thread to see how the entertainment from earlier today was progessing)
Kinda wish I had gotten the lionmaster when it was available.

HW, is the daylight version different than the others? There must be something different than just the road number, else you could repaint one of the others.
