While looking into upgrading a few engines with fixed pilots I came across this Post.
https://ogrforum.com/...xed-pilot-conversion
Has anyone come up with an update or conversion set to do this?

Central Fan has made quite a few of these type of spacers, 3D printed.
Never heard of Central Fan. I did a search, could you be more specific?

His forum name is CentralFan1976 . Try searching for that, and then check his profile.
Hi guys!
What engines are you looking to do? There’s a lot of info here on the forum we can point you to.
Thanks,

Hey Mario. Is that an MTH or Lionel GP30? I'm starting to get some breaks in the work schedule and have a trio of GP30's I'd like to fix the pilots on.
I have 2 MTH 20-20383 CP AC4400CW engines I'd like to convert to a fixed pilot but I need an engine plow for each though.
I did a search for CentralFan1976 & found quite a bit of info. Thanks!

Hi Matt!
It’s a Lionel GP30.
Thanks!

Thanks for the reference!
Theres a LOT of members here that fix our pilots, in addition to me and Hot Water, and LaidOffSick and Ron H and many others. We’re a close knit team.
Thanks!

Good morning!
I haven’t worked with MTH much or newer equipment like the AC4400s, but I bet LaidOffSick.
I tend to stick to the older generations of motive power, the Central didn’t last long into the 2nd Generation of diesels.
I’ll ping him.
Thanks!

I have to find the link. There is a Guy on Shapeways that may have what you need. Fixed pilot conversion. But you can also search Shapeways. Start with Mario's page as a reference. Like Mario mostly CB&Q, GN, NP, BN 1st and Second Generation Diesels
Thanks, I'm into the earlier diesels too. Any info is great. Hate to re-invent the wheel if someone else already has!
I thought there was a 3D conversion on Shapeways for the AC4000? I could be wrong.
All conversions are basically the same. Spacer and coupler mount.
The original post link to that MTH Dash 8 conversion is me, thats how I did all my conversions.
Thor73 is the forum member who designs the complete 3D printed pilots. His designs are on Shapeways as well.
Those parts are amazing. Now to figure what my priorities are!

I think the MTH AC4400, ES44 and C44-9W are using the same pilot. The C40-8W may be using it as well as I vaguely remember there was some controversy over the number of steps on a AC4400 and ES44 having six steps on the prototype and only five on the MTH model
