Rich is there any reason why we can't simply Cut & Paste? I'm on another forum powered by HOOPLA and we can simply highlight the text, cut and paste it.

You can do that here....simply highlight the text and right click on it, then click "copy". You can then paste it where you want....
I cut-n-paste text and pictures, here's an example.

Etc... Just Ctrl-C and Ctrl-V.
Thanks for the help guys. That's how I've done it a 1000 times but on this forum it doesn't work for me. Every time I try to Cut & Paste this message pops up - "Please use Ctrl+V/Cmd+V keyboard shortcuts to paste contents." What am I doing wrong. Thanks.
<CNTRL-V> is the paste command.
<CNTRL-C> to copy.
<CNTRL-V> to paste.

Are you using Microsoft Edge?
Apparently this is a feature of it.
I quit using Microsoft browsers.
Works fine on Firefox.
Works fine in Firefox and Chrome here. I just fired up Microsoft Edge, I'll try it now.

The previous image and line ot text were pasted with Microsoft Edge, same technique for text, Ctrl-C to copy, and Ctrl-V to paste. For the image, you have to right click and select copy and then Ctrl-V to paste. Here's what you see when you right click on a graphic in Edge.
I can't make this fail with any browser I have, so I'd be looking at other settings in your computer.

I guess I wasn't clear.
I believe it is Microsoft Edge that is requiring the use of Ctrl-V and Ctrl-C.
Click on copy from the menu, and no message.
But when you click on paste, you get the message telling you to use Ctrl-V and Ctrl-C that Wild Mary is asking about.
I tried this before posting earlier. I was copying and pasting text. But doing a photo should work the same way.
CTRL-C and CTRL-V are actually Windows keyboard commands (no MENU involved) for copy and paste. As such, you can mark (you have to select your text or pictures first!!) and copy an item within one program (say, Microsoft Word) and then paste that same item within another program (say, this OGR forum by HOOPLA). Those keyboard commands are not specific to any particular program. Most of the time when those commands don't work, it's usually because the user is not properly selecting the text to be copied or because the destination point for the copy won't accept the type of info you are trying to put there.
The Apple operating system might have similar features, but I'm not familiar with them.
There were actually some older keystrokes that are still used by some applications, Shift-DEL and Shift-INSERT come to mind. I haven't used those in years, don't know if they still work... Yep, tried them, they still work in 2018. I seem to recall some website didn't use the classic keys, but these still worked.
Last time I checked, the Apple Mac still uses the same style shortcut keys, Command-X, Command-C, Command-V.
