Just got my call, too!

And guess whose MTH Army GP-20 did not--once again--make it's scheduled (October, most recently) delivery date!
Did they ship out the additional car as well?

I just got home from Nicholas Smith. When I picked up my set, Joey asked if I wanted any of them as well. I'm guessing that meant they had them in stock.

I am interested in knowing if the second version has a more robust sound than the first.
Dave talked me into buying that locomotive (today, via a phone call) and assures me (or at least the box label states), that it specifies O36 as the minimum curve. I believe the online product info states O42. We shall see! I asked him to hold one for me for pickup tomorrow when I venture over to his fine establishment. I believe he said that he's expecting four more in next week. It is a way cool locomotive, and I can pretend that the Alaska RR is trying one out.
Here it is.....Plenty loud. Visually stunning. As George commented in OGR, the smoke unit should be off or low. I'm glad I ordered one!

Dave,
Hoping to get mine on the layout in the morning and putting it through it's paces. I think you had a very good turnout today with the Lionel Legacy Seminar given by Big Mike!! Looks like you had a pretty good day selling some product as well. Thanks again for the invitation.

Picked mine up from Legacy Station today! I'm not overly impressed with the sounds, the engine noise is way too loud and tinny sounding plus the horn is different than the first run. But everything else about it is awesome, love the charging lights and the paint scheme - it really stands out against my NS and Southern engines! BTW, if anyone is looking for one, they had 5 or 6 sets in stock as of Tuesday morning.
I really like the one I picked up from Dave a couple of weeks ago. It doesn't quite fit my layout theme, but it sure is a winner for a flashing lights fan like me.
