Hi, was wondering if anyone could shed light on this... the golden swoosh , locomotive number 7695 for BNSF I know to be an es44dc. I noticed that lionel makes a legacy version of this and it calls it an AC. Did Lionel just make a mistake or has BNSF actually converted this engine to AC? Thanks.

Okay, I found my answer, I called Lionel and they said it was a mistake on their part. I suppose it's possible that in the future it may come to pass that it be accurate if BNSF converts it. They've already converted some dash nines

So much for Lionel's research. You could find that info in a current "BNSF Locomotive Directory" published by Paul K. Withers or on the internet in about a minute...............
