I just received my new GP30 (from TrainWorld). I put the switches to smoke off, Bluetooth off, and PGM, then applied track power. The engine started up immediately, but would not allow me to set an ID#. I shut off power, set the switch to run, and set the loco to #1. No response - just sat there with idle sound. I pushed it over the IR sensor track, and it shows #1 is the correct locomotive (#2530 Reading Northern) but still no control from the CAB-1. I shut off the track power, set it to Bluetooth, and tried the LC app on my iPhone. Loco responds and runs forward, back, blows whistle, has crew talk.
Track power off, and I go to the reset procedure in the back of the manual - no response from loco.
Since this is brand new, should I get an RMA from Lionel and send it back? Or is there some other step I could try?
