Don~
I will be there with my son. I can't pass on a show that is so close to home.

No one else going to the show????
DON, where is it located ?
Hi Don:
I'm thinking about it. Saturday is out and I won't be able to leave from Bridgeport until about 12:30 Sunday.
Do Vendors pack up early?
Is this show worth the 45 minute drive for O-Gauge?
its located at
Western Conn State University
O'Neil Building.
make sure you end up at the correct campus.
there is another
Western Conn State University campus
listed on mapquest that I hit the first time
I looked it up.
make sure you type in O'Niel Building
which is in another part of town.
we may be going,
two birds, one stone.
My son lives in Danbury and we want to go visit him.
He works in a local Starbucks, if you like Starbucks and
happen in and see a 6'8" manager.
Say HI!!
I'm going... not sure when.
... and in the "two birds, one stone" category...
If anyone goes on Saturday, it's a short (35/40 minute) ride to the Boothe Memorial Railway Society Open House in Stratford from 1 to 4pm!

Thanks Ed. Again, click HERE for the show......
Bill, I plan to go Sunday but have no idea what the vendors do in the later hours.
Just came back from the show. I thought it was a nice show with a mix of gauges.
If you tied the show with a trip to the Danbury Railway museum
http://www.danbury.org/drm/.... that would be a nice day.
I went through my train budget quickly!
Other events at the campus made parking a bit tricky.

After speaking with Eddiem, I am going to pass on the show for Sunday.
I went today, I wasn't very impressed. It did give me something to do. A lot of H.O. and Flyer.

I agree with Doug.
In addition, they scheduled the show and a college football game at the same time so parking was a long walk away.
I don't think this show lives up to the reputation of other Greenburg shows I've read about.
Ed
I have never been to a Greenberg show that i liked. I don't go anymore.
In fairness I think it was the first Greenburg show held here. Perhaps it will get better. It was a very long walk from the parking garage to the building

Thanks for the reviews.
I do remember a show at this location a few years back and I wasn't all that impressed with it. I was leaning towards passing on it but now I think I can pass without any second thoughts.
Thanks for the input.
I went, a lot of Flyer and crap toys. There was the typical over the top prices for Postwar. One guy in the center, who had a sign I take credit cards, his stuff was so over priced! I said this is a little high and he got mad at me, which means I am right..Waste of a half hour drive.
well lets look at all the details,
Pro........toy trains, comeradery, food.
Cons......parking, high prices, long drive.
after all the dust settled, I had a great day. I didn't necessarly go just for the
trains, My son lives in Danbury and we are 5 hrs away. so to be able to spend
a couple hrs walking around a train show with my son..........priceless.
only spent $10. Most of the vehicles were priced from $5-$35. One lady was so desparate to make a sale she lowered her prices mid morning on all her vehicles
3 for $10. So I abliged her and bought 3. she was elated. she said she had only
taken in $17 from sat and sun morn. Ive been to 2 grenburg shows and parking is ALWAYS a problem for the general public. we don't have problems because my wife has trouble walking and has a handicapped sticker, so we park right up front.
she ended up finding a chair and sat for most of the morning.
