John does the amp draw go up and down with light intensity raised and lowered ?

Running 18 passenger cars with the modules and strips right now . 😨

I see the question was answered.  You are using less than 50ma for each car, so I don't think the power draw for lighting the cars is an issue with any reasonable track power supply.

Gary....just trying to maximize engine power availability for the four passenger trains running at one time.    On the four RK locomotives I had previously installed incadescencts for marker lights .  I just changed those out for 3mm LEDs.  All  the switches and controllers and accesories are track powered  LEDs.....(  my bad  )    Using two tracks with two Z1000 bricks on tbe DCS.

Ted.....thanks for the the great info.  I didn't know how much power so many passenger cars would take.   No issues at all since using GRJ's lighting modules and LEDs for just about everything else on the layout.

John.....so far using the two Z1000s on the DCS seems to be really good with your kits and LED advice.  Thanks
