I'm with you Eddie -- 96 Day's to go and I'm ready for the York meet, October, 2017.

Between now and then we can argue, debate, dispute (pick your own word) allowing non-members into the meet; what will be new; how allowing non-members into the meet impacts the number of people who renew their TCA membership (I just renewed mine); what will be on the cover of the next MTH catalog, and all sorts of other interesting things. And then we can go to York, meet & greet friends, hunt for that elusive bargain, find something to complain about and then start the process all over again.

I am going to try to make it on Friday. Depends now on a piece of equipment being repaired and running between now and then.   We'll see. Turned 60 on 8/21. I'm Teflon and bullet proof.

Found out today that I'm on call. I can take vacation day, but can't leave the area. See you guys in April!!!

I can't think of a better reason for rehabilitation of a total joint! Good luck with your surgery. My wife had 2 done in 2016, and she is glad that she did....

Registered for fall York two days ago.  I'm ready!!!!

All the best Side Rod.  My mom had both hers done as well, not an easy recovery.

Haven't missed a Meet in years ... I'll be there.  

Already got my hotel room booked!   I love York in the fall.

I'm chomping at the bit already. Only saw about 2 hours of York last year because of health issues. Now I'm back and rearing to go! Bringing a friend for his 1st York on Thursday, and grandson for his 5th on Friday.

Having some cash to spend would be nice, but I can't wait to see everybody again, along with the first timers face when he sees the vastness of York!

Where I work, the folks who have less than a year until retirement are out sick a lot.  Just sayin'...

The year before I retired, I worked my a.. off. I found out they needed 2 people to replace me. I've now been retired for 21 years. The first 4 years I did volunteer work, but quit that as well. A person with hobbies and interests, reasonably good health, and enough income can have a great time. So far, I have been very lucky.

I am always looking forward to the York Show.

You guys seem to have missed my point.

I didn't say that the guys nearing retirement WERE sick a lot.  I said that they were OUT sick from work.  To clarify further, they called in sick even though they weren't actually sick.

I can only attend on Thursday as things stand now but one day of York is better than none!

It's not all I have to discuss but it's a pleasant way to enjoy the anticipation that culminates with each York meet.  Not sad at all, in fact it takes my mind off some of the sad states of affairs around here.

Booked my hotel room back in June.   Completed the online registration last night.    Summer is winding down.   It will October soon.   I'm getting excited!

It's looking like I'm going to miss October's Meet. It will be just a couple weeks after our move, there will be too much to do. Add that I'll go from a 75 minute drive to a five hour plane ride to get to York making it a bit daunting to get there so soon after the move.  April will be more likely. 

But I never say never!

I decided by hook or crook I am going to the October meet as well. Just have to tell the wife we will celebrate our 22 wedding anniversary the following week!

Specifically to Escondido, CA., just a little bit north of SD. 

San Diego...except for morning fog once in a while, probably the best all-round weather in the US. Enjoy!

Got my October "blue" badge today, all set for another Lionel York boxcar and train talk among friends...

Thanks NYC 428!  Started outpatient PT today, 2 weeks after surgery.   I'm getting around the house without a walker or cane.  My York badge came today and I should be in great shape to walk the halls!

Excellent news Side Rod.  Just keep up with the PT and you'll be fine.  The PT is the hardest part.
