I recently posted that I was looking for a small part from MTH. It was the plastic bearing from the front truck of my Berkshire locomotive. After ordering a whole new front truck I decided to take a close look at the bearing from the other side of the truck, after looking at the CRITICAL dimensions, I went to the shop and using my Bridgeport and a piece of black Delrin I was able to recreate the missing bearing. It works flawlessly and when the new truck gets here I will just have an extra. Took about an hour so it was probably not cost effective but it was fun!

Let’s see some pics!….who cares how long it took ya, point is, you enjoyed yourself!!…..if I calculated all the hours I’ve spent on a mill or a lathe, I’d owe me a small mortgage!…..please show us what you did, & how you did it!….these are the threads that are interesting, and fun!!….
