Does anyone know where I can find replacement handrail stanchions for this Tender.

Most of the short stanchions on my Vandy tender are broken as well. They seem to get very brittle with age and they disintegrate with not much effort. The 6-18056 is quite possibly my all time favorite loco and I run it frequently.
I would be interested in a souce for these as well. Or even a stanchion that would work from another Lionel model...maybe?

Lionel has both of them listed and available... here's one of them off Lionel's site...
6-18056 | Tender | 6108056325 | STANCHION / .098" DIAM x .350" HGHT |
Lionel has them listed, and unavailable. That is where I got the pictures to post on the forum.
Crap! Wonder if they can be 3D printed? I'll check that out...
It would be awesome to find some. I liked this set so well I bought a second one. Got one on the rails, and one completely serviced and ready for a display case. The Vanderbilt tender has amazing sound. Better than my 773, my Warhorse, my Big Boy better than all of them.
Posted it up in 3D Printing... may be a cottage industry for someone.
Thank you Sir!

It looks like Brassuers has at least one of them. I'd call to verify : https://traindoctor.com/service/lionel/8010to8200.php
I found the short hand rail stanchions for the 6-18056 Vanderbilt Tender at S&W Parts Supply in Niskayuna New York. Bill is a great Gentleman to deal with. I would still like to find the longer ones. if anyone knows who has them. The train doctor did not have them, and he suggested jeff@ttender.com , but he has not responded as of yet.
@Secarider... helpful information. Thank you for this.
