Having trouble with Legacy Diesels

I think you can address them both as engine xx, you do not need to make a train.

but yes you can give them both the same number and they will respond.

Thanks for idea.  I tried this and the B unit never seems to run at the same speed as the A unit.  I'm trying to address them as a train so once it is moving you can address each individual engine and adjust the speed so they work together.  I have 5 other sets of locomotives I run as consists and there is always one that runs at a different speed than the others.  The instructions in the manual say that you should be able to still address each individual engine in a consist to fine tune the performance.
