Just bought a Lionel 6-26792, REA operating box car and will need to do some engineering. When you push the uncouple button on my 0-27 track, the track magnet gets energized pulling the cars plunger down opening the door and a package gets thrown out. The problem is, there's not enough clearance under car the for the plunger to come down far enough to activate the door. It hits the track before opening. I'm thinking I need to put washers between the trucks and the body of the car to raise it and allow the plunger to drop further. Has anyone else experienced this and how did they fix the problem? Appreciate your input.
