Next project on the bench is a Lionel Legacy NYC FA-2 AA #2333120. The rear A unit seems fine. Adds to the Cab-2 no problem and functions. The front A unit will add to the remote, gives me the flickering headlight, sometimes will produce normal sound, sometimes will produce smoke, will not move in any direction. Most remote commands like lights, shutdown, etc are not recognized by the engine. My Legacy signal has aways been great, no issues with many other Legacy engines, Using Dale/GRJ TMCC/Legacy booster with no issues. So I'm thinking something is up with the board. Checked all connections, factory reset, no wiring issues, tried the cupped hand over the engine and extension cord trick, no difference. Also, will have the same symptoms with attempt at Bluetooth control.
So, a search on the Lionel parts site doesn't yield me any boards of the same number, but I may not be searching under the right description. I attached photos. I am planning on a call to Lionel, but thought I'd see what the experts here think. Thanks for your help as always!
