Hello Folks,

I recently acquired a kitbashed Lionel GP7/GP20 diesel. I would like to determine its origins so I can reference the proper service & maintenance specifications. As far as I can see, the shell is a GP7 (stamped 2328-5 on the underside) with a custom paint job/road number 411, although the illuminated number plate at the front of the cab is 2509. (I looked up the 2509 and couldn't any reference to it.) The chassis/frame/motor appears to be a more modern TMCC unit, with the forward handrails trimmed off. I determined it to be a GP20 based on some numbers on one of the board chips (GP20 MIL 06). Other numbers are sound chip RS25D25, and the motherboard is labeled 'RS POWER 691-PCB1-03B'. One feature of note are the chains hanging off both the front and rear end rails. I couldn't find any numbers on the frame, although they may be hidden.

My research came up with GP20 models 6-18858 and 6-18574 as possible donors. Any other ideas?

Thanks in advance!
