help me find subway cars.

The R42 E train or the R62's ?

The R142a's have stripe on the first and last cars

anything lol really.  the more plain,  the better. the r62 looks like it would be easy to add septa stickers too.

just seems i search the net for subway cars and they arent being made anymore.  an i cant find them.

You could pick up a new four car E set for around 300.00.  A four car R62 probably 350, 375

SEPTA-

 

You really have only two choices for a "silver" SEPTA subway:

 

1) Buy an Atlas Comet commuter car- preferably a cab version- and kit bash into a Kawasaki Broad Street subway car.  Takes a little work, but not too bad.  Of course, it will be unpowered.

 

2) Contact Joe Upton at Island Modelworks and get on the list for Market-Frankford Almond Joys.  Once he gets a minimum commitment, he'll run a set.
