I recently purchased from a fellow ogaugerr member a Lionel set with a rating of excellent to LN rating. I have received the set and it is beautiful set. when taking the front powered Also FPA engine out of the box, the front truck pickup roller assembly fell off. Don't know why. I am not good at repairs and it has been over 20 years since I last purchased trains and the bug has hit again and hard. Repairs for the new engines are intimidating for me. I cannot understand or see why the whole assembly on he front truck came off, but when I try to fit it back on, it will not stay. There is either a piece (like a pin or cap) missing that holds on the pickup roller. I have contacted the seller, asking for help in repairing it or instructions how to do it etc and there has been no response. I have been to the Lionel site, but when I put the product number in for parts or instructions...there are none. My Lionel set is 6-31737. My LHS does not accept any repairs period.
Can someone assist me with the instructions and what parts I may need.
