why is it that to search on a particular forum you have to go to advanced search?
if you search using the box above it searches all the forums. not good for the buy&sell especially.
am I missing something?

No, you're not missing anything.
To do a quick search of ALL forums, just use SEARCH.
If you want to search in only ONE forum, you use the Advanced Search. That is what the Advanced Search is for...to allow you to narrow your search to just what you are looking for.

I posted a separate topic on this.
I'm sure there was a box to pick which sub-forum you wanted to search, but now I don't see it when I do an Advanced Search.
I don't see it now either. Hoopla must have changed something.

I'm glad that I found this thread. I just tried narrowing search to specific forums; however, as you just noted, the option for a specific forum to search has disappeared. If possible, could you ask Hoopla to restore the specific forum search option. Thank you.
I can't find any way to do a forum SEARCH using the iPhone/iPad app. Am I missing something? Have I goofed up somewhere???
