To go alongside the awesome Taco bell and Starbucks buildings you have for sale.

No trick. Just something I would like to see. I have the only other 2 restaurants Menards makes on the layout. Could use another drive thru

I did miss that posting. I will go back and look for it. Strictly coincidental on my part. I was going to originally request a Wendys instead of Arbys.
Jini5, Maybe someday Menards will make a Wendys.
Hey Jim....How about a Bob's Pizza? Joe
That would be a cool decade long project on my part. I should try to at least make the sign with translucent material and light it up with internal LED's. Much like my "HOTEL" sign.
AND- after the "original" Arby's buildings, and as the chain fell on hard times, the company seemed to lose control over their building standards. As the franchisees built their restaurants in a variety of styles, anything else would not be typical". So I like the "Chuck Wagon" buildings, many with the red roofs. But most of them did not have full stone siding like the pic- they had stone pillars; full stone look was an attempt to "modernize".
The original buildings were small like the B&W pic, w/o drive thru's. The cowboy hat signs however were huge. From the pic almost as large as the building! Perhaps a full interior would be possible cost wise since the building itself would be simple? But to put LEDS surrounding the cowboy hat sign- ugh - cost wise.

I didn't know that. I frequent my local Menards almost weekly and have never seen one there. Of course the store has to order it. There are a few Arby's in my town, so not an unknown brand in this area.

Great idea! But I’m getting very hungry thinking about it.
Here’s the post for those who missed it. It explains the availability as well. Please read.

So THAT explains why the original Arby's looked like that. Store number one is in Boardman, OH (town next to me). The original building no longer is an Arby's but it has that shape and I always thought it was odd.
The kicker is that the new building that is across the street used to have a drive-through that featured the ordering and the window on the passenger side. That building was recently torn down and a new Arby's was built in its place.
I would love to have an Arby's on my layout! I'm a fan of the fast food and the original is from where I come from.
I'm curious. Which would more people be interested in, the new, modern-era sign, or the older Arby's sign?
I would be interested in the old style because my layout is from an older time period.
Would definitely like one since was founded in my hometown area the year graduated high school.

Great news - The Menard’s Arby’s is available online for shipping.
It's a modern Arby's...comes with a 1951 Ford. I might buy it.
Unfortunately the sign's don't light up but are lit from below. That would be an easy sign to have the white part of the logo "light" up. Need to show Menard's how it's done.
Very disappointed they did NOT do the original style Arby's building first then later do the modern one.

Maybe, someday they can do a Popeyes or a Sonic.

Jim - You should get started now on a Sonic. We'll be waiting. Anthony
