Height of RMT Beep shell on TTX flat car.

Just the shell or the whole BEEP?

Like this one. It's just the shell but looks tall to me.

I don't have that car to test, but the BEEP shell itself is 3.3" tall.  It certainly looks like it would be about 5", that should clear most tunnels.

Thanks John, I've got one coming this week I guess I'll find out. I didn't think about the height until after I ordered it. Nothing a little landscape surgery won't fix I hope

What "normal" tunnel are you using?  What is the height of the tunnel clearance above the rail tops?

MTH's single portal tunnel.

Measure it.   I don't have one, but I believe they're probably plenty tall.

4&5/8th's from the top of the center rail allowing a 1/16th for clearance.

That gives you about 1.3" from the top of the rails to the flatcar top.  You could take a bit off the steps if it's close.

It fits fine. About 4.5 inches from the top of the rail. Thanks for your input John.
