Last weekend I was out in the Cleveland area for a good friends wedding and had a few hours to check out Stockyard Express. I couldn't think of a better place for our next Hobby Shop Hop!

Thanks for the video. Wish that store was near me! Odd that major metro areas in the country are pretty devoid of good O gauge shops, and huge stores like Stockyard and Mr. Muffin's are sitting in remote locations that you practically can't get to.

Overhead of maintaining a shop in a city? We have a similar shop located in the least expensive suburb of a mid-sized city. All of these are labors of love by people who are hobbyists, which tells us about the practicality of the business model. Even in NYC, the remaining shops are those of long standing and not located in high cost areas like Manhattan. Enjoy it while it lasts, I guess.
