You never know, people bring all sorts of stuff in, it just depends oh what people have or have found to sale. Obviously I would look in the members halls first. You might want to put a tag on your coat saying I am looking for Hornby Trains, someone might see it and let you know they have some
If you don't go, you will never know.
Are you looking for anything in particular? I have some items I could bring to York
if you want to purchase them. At the high end is spectacularl O gauge prewar clockwork LMS Compound with two very nice suburban bogie coaches. At the lower end are some extra "USA" Hornby freight cars. I'll be happy to send photos if you are interested.

Bill, yes. I have my eye out for it and there is always some Hornby scattered around, and the last two times I was at York there was one guy with a very large table of it. I think it was in the Orange hall, anybody remember from April? Loaded with really nice stuff, engine sheds, stations, clockwork, electric, British and French Hornby... I thought his prices a bit steep, but YMMV.
In April I picked up a pair of Hornby 2 ft radius manual turnouts for $15, and in the Silver Hall a guy was selling quite a bit of prewar Hornby, both sets, track and buildings. It's there, don't worry.
If you are looking for less popular items such as Hornby, I'd suggest hitting all the halls. Some folks participating here seem to focus solely on the dealer halls. Some fairly uncommon stuff made by many different manufacturers shows up.
I bought a very nice Princess Elizabeth at York back in 2001, and there was a lot around at that time. Take Lewrail up on his offer (up above). He is at the center of all things Hornby and other Euro tinplate.
Hey C W, how about we meet up at Alan & Jeff's table at 12 noon on Friday.
I'll have to get a photo of that meeting!!!......oh, wait!
